Product Description

Presented by Abhay Charan Games, this classic jigsaw puzzle depicts the dramatic pastime of Kṛṣṇa subduing Kāliya, the poisonous serpent who had contaminated the waters of the Yamunā. To purify the river and protect the residents of Vṛndāvana, Kṛṣṇa climbed a kadamba tree and fearlessly leapt into Kāliya’s lake. The angry serpent rushed at Him, bit Him, and tightly wrapped Him in his coils. Seeing this, Kṛṣṇa’s friends, the cows, and the residents of Vraja were overcome with fear and grief. Then Kṛṣṇa expanded Himself, freed His body from the serpent’s grip, and leapt upon Kāliya’s many hoods. Dancing with divine grace and power, He subdued the proud serpent until Kāliya surrendered. At last, upon the heartfelt prayers of Kāliya’s wives, Kṛṣṇa showed mercy and ordered him to leave the Yamunā forever.
